Veterinary medicinal products

Veterinary medicinal products are the company’s core business.

Teknofarma is the marketing authorization holder of a high number of veterinary medicinal products belonging to several pharmacological classes: anthelmintics, antiparasitics for external use, diuretics/cardiological drugs, multivitamins, dermatological medications, urinary acidifiers, otologicals.

All products are designed, developed and formulated in-house.

All manufacturing operations are carried out according to international quality standards – in compliance with cGMP regulations – in dedicated departments, completely renovated between 2017 and 2022 and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Complementary feed

In compliance with Regulations (EC) No. 183/2005 and (EC) No. 1069/2009, Teknofarma holds the authorization to produce and package complementary feed and premixtures for companion animals (Identification no. α IT 000146 TO).

Formulations are manufactured and packaged at our Turin facility, in a new dedicated unit created in 2018 to meet the growing demands of a rapidly expanding market. Equipped with pharmaceutical-grade finishes, the department features state-of-the-art machineries.

Third-party distribution

For years, Teknofarma has also been distributing third-party medicinal and animal wellbeing products throughout Italy.

Decades of experience of the company and the activity of Teknofarma’s Medical Representatives ensure a widespread distribution of the products.

Laboratories

The Quality Control (chemical and microbiological analysis) and Research & Development laboratories are equipped with modern instrumentation and advanced technologies (HPLC-DAD, NIR, LC-MS, GD-FID, ICP-MS, UV, IR, climatic chambers for VICH stability studies).

Medical Representatives

The Company offers technical and medical support throughout Italy through a network of Medical Representatives who regularly visit veterinary offices, clinics, and vet facilities.

All of Teknofarma’s Medical Representatives have extensive experience in the veterinary field and have completed a course of study related to their line of work. In addition, they are further trained by the Company so that they can ensure the best possible service on the field.
